Prof Y. Richard Yang Visited Our Group

Prof. Y. Richard Yang from Yale University recently visited the Network Technology Research Center at ICT. On 18 November 2010, he gave a research talk titled “Efficiency and Robustness of Internet Content Distribution System”. In this talk, he presented his current research highlights, including content distribution, traffic engineering, Incentive-compatibility/Economics of Network Design and especially focused on P4P and Data Locker. In addition, he had a conservation with Prof. Gaogang Xie about the future cooperation.

Prof. Y. Richard Yang is currently an Associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Yale University. He received his B.E. degree in computer science and technology from Tsinghua University (1993), and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin (1998 and 2001).He received the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation and the Schlumberger Foundation Award. His current research interests include computer networks, mobile computing, wireless networking, sensor networks, and network security.
